Northwest IMPACT is a collaboration of the 200+ contractors who employ iron workers from Iron Worker Local Unions in seven Northwest states. In Oregon state, Local 29 and Shopmen’s 516 are represented, with Local 86 also having a presence.

Built for Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), the Knight Cancer Research Facility includes two levels of structural steel topped by five levels of reinforced concrete, including a below-grade parking garage. Iron Worker contractor Raimore Construction, with ironworkers from Local 29, worked to complete the 320,000-square-foot building. The facility is dedicated to cancer research, with state-of-the-art facilities supporting over 600 researchers and staff.
